It’s a real bitch. a real big bitch.

My Galant has been sitting on jack stands for almost two months now. I’ve driven it maybe 6 miles since I bought it, and right now I’m so frustrated I don’t even want to fix it. Shoulda just bought a fourth gen Civic. At the same time I went to look at the Galant there was a “rust free” 89 Si for sale, for 1900 bucks, but it was 4.5 hours away and I decided that wasn’t worth it. now I wish I has just gone for the nostalgia of my old Civic. man I miss that car.

Wanna buy my CRX? I'm not really interested in it anymore, but I don't have time to deal with selling it.

it had a broken brake line when I bought it. So I replaced all the the soft lines with braided lines, and now it’s only bleeding properly on the driver’s side left brake. It’ gets a little fluid on the passenger side, and none to the rear. oh and the pedal doesn’t drop when you crack those bleeders. and yes we tried removing the bleeders entirely. I’m afraid I may have squished the hard lines when taking the old rubber lines off since we had to use vise grips on most of them.

You bought that VR4, right?

It shouldn’t cost too much to replace the hard lines, should it? What’s your level of mechanical know-how? Offer a local Oppo some beer and pizza, you never know...

Yeah I did. The lure of owning the EVO’s grandpa sucked me in.

I could probably do it, with a some help. its just a PITA. lol

Let me know what your schedule looks like. Once I get plates on the TohruTruck Mk. 3 I’ll throw my tools and the roommate in the bed and head up sometime.

There’s a point with every project car where you have to outsource something, no matter how simple it is. Having someone else do the final dirty work and getting your car moving will be so satisfying.

I feel ya. I drove my 72 Bavaria about 3 miles directly to my shop for a wiring overhaul and glass replacement. That was over a month ago.

If all hopped-up Civics looked this good, I could die happy.

Rust-free EF’s are becoming unicorns. Hell, I drove 3 hours away to get my rusty ‘91 wagon.

I think it’s too low as well, but it’s not scraping the ground. You could conceivably drive it in a part of the country with smooth roads in relative comfort. I mostly love how clean and simple it is, especially the larger, later OEM wheels.

I know I’m a fool. :(

Also I was a teal 91 Si that was suuuper clean with about 60,000 miles on CL a few months ago. They were asking 7500 for it. If I’d had the cash I would have jumped on the thing, and thanked the guy for ripping me off. hahahaha

We get rust here, but not as bad. Mine just happens to not have cancer.
